Hidden Sparks Announces The Parent Learning Series

Hidden Sparks announced the launch of a new parent learning series that will take place this summer. The transformative program for parents and caregivers of early childhood through eighth-grade children is designed to help better understand, support, and communicate with their children and is based on 18 years of experience in supporting all types of learners.

“It has become increasingly apparent that parents are often a critical factor in a child’s classroom success and we welcome the chance to share our proven strategies in a format specifically designed for the home, giving parents the practical tools to address and overcome a myriad of learning challenges,” said Rabbi Elisha Hus, director of school services. “Parenting in the 21st century, particularly with so many digital and social distractions and impediments, can be overwhelming. This course is intended to help parents learn the skills to be able to face all sorts of obstacles and help our children thrive at school and at home.”

The highly subsidized course will cover many topics including understanding different areas of learning strengths and struggles in the home and in school, navigating social challenges, as well as communication strategies to strengthen connection and how to partner effectively with teachers. Participants will join two in-person sessions in New York City as well as virtual evening sessions and parent support sessions to reflect and discuss practical applications of the newly acquired tools.

We firmly believe that when a parent gains the tools and strategies, they can have a path toward supporting their children in a more robust way that will ultimately lead to more confident and happy children.
